Temples function as religious venues and hubs of cultural engagement for the Khmer community. This article builds upon current research on Khmer culture and art, integrating field studies at various representative temples to examine, identify, and analyze the distinctive icons present in the architecture and art of Khmer Theravada temples. The findings indicate that symbols like the Naga, the mythical bird Krud (Garuda), the Yeak, the Dharma wheel, the lotus flower, and the pattern system illustrate the convergence of Theravada Buddhist ideology and indigenous Khmer traditions. These symbols hold aesthetic significance, reflecting the worldview and life philosophy of the Khmer people in Vietnam, so they contribute to the preservation of cultural identity and moral education within the community.</p>2026-06-09T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 International Journal Papier Public Reviewhttp://igsspublication.com/index.php/ijppr/article/view/469Enhancing The Competitiveness Of The Creative Industry In Gorontalo: The Mediating Role Of Organizational Innovation In Human Resource Competencies2026-06-08T18:25:59+07:00Irwan Yantuirwan.yantu@ung.ac.idSyarwani Canonsyarwanicanon@ung.ac.idRaflin HineloRaflin@ung.ac.idIrawati Abdulirawaty.abdul@ung.ac.id<p>Although the creative industry plays a crucial role in sustainable economic growth, many still do not understand the specific mechanisms that enable human resource competence to enhance competitiveness, particularly regarding how innovation is mediated by organizations at the local level. This study uses organizational innovation as a mediating variable to investigate how the competitiveness of the creative industry in Gorontalo Province, Indonesia, is influenced by the development of human resource competence. Survey data collected from 150 local creative entrepreneurs were analyzed using a quantitative approach. Structural equation modeling with partial least squares (PLS-SEM) was then applied. The findings indicate that human resource competence has a positive and significant impact on industrial competitiveness and enhances organizational innovation. A key finding confirms that organizational innovation can function as a partial mediator; it enhances competitiveness by indirectly channeling human resource capabilities. The results suggest that regional creative industry development requires a dual approach. The first strategy involves comprehensive human resource competence development, and the second involves creating a supportive environment that enables individual capabilities to generate organizational innovation.</p>2026-06-23T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 International Journal Papier Public Review
